The Charles Dowding Starter pack from Containerwise now including the new CD Dib Popper.

The Charles Dowding Starter Pack is a great addition to our Charles Dowding range of long-life propagation trays. Comprising of 1 x CD60 1 x CD30 and 2 x CD15 and 1 x CD Dib Popper.

Like all the other propagation trays in our range these trays are made from uv-stabilised recyclable polypropylene. Providing the user with many years of use and helping to reduce the demand for flimsy single use propagation trays, which often end up in landfill after one or two uses.

Start all your small seedlings indoors or in your greenhouse and extend your growing season, increase the germination rate and grow more efficiently with less space and get better results!
The design of this module tray draws upon Charles Dowding’s expertise gained from more than 40 years of growing experience. Besides being famous for his no-dig gardening approach and composting skills he has now also developed the range of seed trays he would love to use.

Almost all vegetables in Charles’ market garden, also known as Homeacres, are first sown in the Charles Dowding range of seed trays.

Charles Dowding states “I use almost exclusively the CD range for all kinds of seeds from basil, brassicas, spinach and onions to radish, peas, sweetcorn and broad beans, even. The beans don’t stay in the trays for long, maybe just two weeks and that’s enough time to get them going, then they establish well after transplanting.”

When our trays eventually come to the end of their lifespan our UK customers can recycle by placing them with hard plastics in most household waste recycling centres.
